After completing Wits medical school, in pursuit of a career in genetics I started a residency in July
1976 in Pediatrics in Wilmington, Delaware.

I met my husband-to-be in Wilmington and we got married there in July 1978 when I started my
genetics fellowship at Children's in Philly.

He is from Montreal, attended Jewish day schools and our backgrounds, although from opposite
ends of the earth are very similar.

We have 3 great kids, Jeff (35), Brian (31) and Adrienne (28) who we have raised in suburban Philadelphia.

The best part of my life has been our family. Even though we live nowhere near our immediate
family we have our own crazy unit with funny and entertaining kids.

My work started out as apart-time job as a geneticist in an inner city Philly hospital and
as the kids grew up I worked more days and it has become a really rewarding career.
