• BA at Wits; much later, an MA at UCT, where I wrote my first novel, Madlands.
• I've published three more novels and a fifth is a work in progress; also many articles, poems and stories.
• Married to Frank, a Capetonian businessman.
• Raised three children in California, where we lived for many years:
  Gabi, 42, a labour lawyer,
  Marisa, 40, a university professor, writer and musician,
  Marc, 34, a businessman and musician; all live in California.
  Two grandchildren.
• Frank and I now live in Cape Town, where we can be in the mountains in ten minutes.
  We travel as often as we can.
• What have the years taught me? Some understanding of the nature of contentment.
  To be grateful for that, and for so much more. Never to take good health for granted.
  To appreciate that our individuality is our greatest gift.
• All the very best to those of Class '66 who made it to the reunion, and to those who didn't.
  And a thought for those who died too young.
