After school I served in the army and followed that up by working at my father's shop for two years.

An introduction to the hippie movement quickly turned my working days into university days.

After completing my BA I went to America and got my PhD in Social Work and Social Policy.

Armed with these qualifications I taught for a few years but happily moved into a very fruitful career of advertising in NYC.

It's in my advertising days that I had my two children Jason - a lawyer in DC and Alex- an all-American shot putter finding herself.

I ended my working career as running the research group at Business Journals where we focused on branding.

Currently developing an NGO in Hoedspruit area with the focus on bringing volunteer medical workers to serve the community.
